I ordered fabric online a couple of weeks ago for the very first time and it arrived on Friday to top off a wonderful day!
I was so excited, waiting for it to arrive that it got to the stage where every time I heard a truck/ van go past the house I thought it was the postie and I got so excited the other day when the postie van stopped at the house opposite only to watch it drive straight past my house :(
Anyway it's here and I so happy with it and it arrived in perfect condition so thankyou Jodie at Fort Worth Fabric Studio! I would definitely recommend them- they have a lovely range of fabric at really good prices and they are really lovely and helpful people.
I bought a couple of yards of the Hunky Dory Border in Sparrow to add to my collection of Hunky Dory fabrics that my mum got in New York. This is going to be turned into a quilt very soon! |
And that's really all that's been happening at the moment. I have my last exam tomorrow, which is German and then we are going out to dinner to celebrate! It's going to be a bit weird not having any stress or study anymore or even any school for that matter! but I am looking forward to being able to start agility again with Charlie- it's just been impossible this year to go to training and competitions with so much study. I'm also looking forward to lots of sewing, I have so many ideas!
Hope you have had a lovely weekend,
Miranda & Charlie
So enjoyed your post over on Stash Manicure! Thought I would hop over and say "Hello." I signed up to follow, so I'll be watching my reader for your next post. ;) You're doing great!!!
ReplyDeleteYou rock!! I've just left you more detailed comment on Stash Manicure.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see your post on Stash Manicure and here. You are doing great. My mom used to make me sew when I was a girl, mostly clothes and I wasn't that crazy about it. Now I am so glad she did because I LOVE quilting and looking at quilts and most recently have become addicted to quilting blogs. So good for you to get such a young start - I can't wait to see what the future brings for you!
ReplyDeletePS-I love the fabrics and font of your header and I love when the mailman brings fabric or patterns too!
I'm so impressed with your fresh approach and willingness to do what you like. You've got a great future ahead of you, no matter what you do. And so creative! Your post on Stash Manicure was very fun. Thanks for the taking the time when you're so busy with exams.

ReplyDeleteHi Miranda!
ReplyDeleteI come from Stash Manicure where I just read your post. I enjoyed it a lot. I started quilting when I was 17 or 18, and before that, I sewed Barbie clothes and other things, too. I learned to machine sew on my mother´s machine when I was 12.
Hope your exam was good!
And aren´t these priority envelopes the best? :-)
Kind greetings from Germany! Steffi
I found you through Stash Manicure and had to follow you since you're another younger quilter! I'm a little older than you (just turned 25) but I've been quilting since I was 12. I'm so glad to see you enjoying quilting even at your age...we need to convince the world that quilting isn't just for grandmas! Hahaha...I'm a fan of scrappy quilts, and they're all that I make so if you want some ideas for more things to do (haha), pop on by!
ReplyDeleteFabric mail is just the best isn't it! I hope your last exam went well. Enjoy the break! I'll have to head over to stash manicure to see what everyone is talking about.
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric selections...just popping over from Stash Manicure to follow your blog! =)
ReplyDeleteSince I live in Chicago, I'm very happy to see a quilt you made with fabric from this "toddlin' town." It's really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'll be following you in my Google Reader to see what beauties you come up with next from your squishy mail. *S*
Hi Miranda, I so enjoyed your guest blog on SM. I've done 2 posts over there, and you did great! I also started my first quilt at 17 and that's been more than 40 years ago! Still hooked. I'll be back.
